When American explorers first described the beauty of Wyoming’s jagged Teton Range and the abundance of elk in the area, few people believed them. Today, people still exclaim “unbelievable!” when they first see the crisp, dramatic peaks backed against clear skies.
What to Expect:
Hiking on the trails we have chosen, you’ll undertake moderate climbs on mountainous terrain and expansive vistas will reward your efforts. You’ll stand at the rims of soaring buttes and picnic in the soulful silence of mountain passes and high alpine lakes in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, the Jed Smith Wilderness, the Gros Ventre Wilderness and the Teton Pass area. Our favorite day will take us to Goodwin Lake with an option to summit Jackson Peak at 10,741 feet! As always, you will have the option of a longer and shorter version of each day’s hike to ensure your enjoyment. In the evenings you’ll settle into lodges with roaring fireplaces and western décor. In the historic town of Jackson, stroll on an old-time wooden sidewalk or dance the western swing all night at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. We hope you choose to join us in Jackson Hole this summer and experience the splendid scenery, abundant wildlife viewing, and world-class hiking of the “Wild West”
