About Adventure Risk Challenge

Adventure Risk Challenge seeks to integrate literacy and wilderness programming
and empower underserved youth to make positive changes in their lives and communities.
ARC’s interactive year-round programming is rooted in the integration of rigorous academic instruction and outdoor education. Participants are selected for leadership potential, willingness to learn and challenge themselves, need for an experience that bolsters academic and leadership skills, and lack of access to meaningful and transformational experiences in the outdoors. Eighty-two percent of ARC’s summer immersion participants attend college and all of them experience challenge and personal growth during a 40 day experience in nature. Learn more about ARC at www.arcprogram.org.
